Connecting Your WhatsApp Business Number

Connecting WhatsApp Business to HelpKit



HelpKit supports two connection methods: WhatsApp Business API (recommended for scale) and WhatsApp Web (via QR scan for quick setup). This article covers both.

Method 1: WhatsApp Web (QR Scan)



Best for: Small teams just getting started.

  • 1.Go to Settings → Integrations → WhatsApp
  • 2.Click Connect via QR Code
  • 3.Open WhatsApp on your phone → Settings → Linked Devices → Link a Device
  • 4.Scan the QR code displayed on your screen
  • 5.Wait for the green Connected status to appear


  • Important: Your phone must stay connected to the internet. If your phone battery dies or you lose internet, HelpKit will disconnect.


    Method 2: WhatsApp Business API



    Best for: Businesses sending 100+ messages/day.

  • 1.Go to Settings → Integrations → WhatsApp API
  • 2.Click Connect WhatsApp Business API
  • 3.You'll be redirected to Meta's Business Verification flow
  • 4.Follow the prompts to verify your Facebook Business Manager
  • 5.Select or add your WhatsApp Business phone number
  • 6.Complete phone number verification via OTP

    After Connecting



    Once connected:
  • All incoming messages appear in your Inbox
  • You can set up auto-replies and chatbot flows
  • Your team members can start handling conversations


  • Disconnecting a Number



    Go to Settings → Integrations → WhatsApp and click Disconnect. This will stop all incoming and outgoing messages through HelpKit.

    Common Connection Issues



  • QR expired? Refresh the page and try again
  • Number already in use? Unlink from WhatsApp Web on your phone first
  • Business API pending? Meta verification can take 24-48 hours
