Is your WhatsApp disconnected? Here's how to diagnose and fix common connection problems.
Connection Status Indicators

Common QR Code Connection Issues
"QR Code Expired"
•QR codes expire after 60 seconds
•Click Refresh QR Code to generate a new one
•Scan immediately after generation
"Phone Not Connected to Internet"
•Your phone must have an active internet connection
•WhatsApp Web requires your phone to relay messages
•Try switching between WiFi and mobile data
"Already Linked to Another Device"
•Open WhatsApp on phone → Settings → Linked Devices
•Remove any existing WhatsApp Web sessions
•Try scanning again
"Connection Keeps Dropping"
•Your phone is losing connectivity (low battery, poor signal)
•Phone is going into deep sleep mode
•Solution: Keep phone plugged in with WhatsApp open
WhatsApp Business API Connection Issues
"Business Verification Pending"
•Meta's business verification can take 24-72 hours
•Check status at business.facebook.com
•Ensure all documents are correctly uploaded
"Invalid Phone Number"
•Number must not be registered on regular WhatsApp
•Must have country code without + or 00
•Cannot be a landline or VoIP number
"API Request Failed"
•Check if your Meta Business account has any restrictions
•Verify your WhatsApp Business API tier hasn't been downgraded
•Ensure billing is active on Meta's side
Advanced Troubleshooting
1.Clear browser cache if QR scanning fails repeatedly
2.Try incognito mode to rule out browser extensions
3.Check firewall — HelpKit needs ports 443 and 5222 open
4.Verify webhook URL is accessible if using API
5.Check rate limits — too many reconnection attempts trigger a temporary block
