Creating a Broadcast Campaign in HelpKit

Broadcast campaigns let you send a message to hundreds or thousands of WhatsApp contacts at once. Here's how to create and send your first campaign.

Requirements

  • You must be connected via WhatsApp Business API (not QR/Web)
  • You need at least one approved message template
  • Contacts must have opted in to receive messages from your business

  • Creating a Campaign

Step 1: Go to Campaigns Navigate to Campaigns → Broadcast → New Campaign.

Step 2: Name Your Campaign Give it a descriptive internal name (e.g., "Diwali Sale 2026 – Hindi"). This is not visible to recipients.

Step 3: Select Audience Choose who receives the campaign:
  • All contacts — Your entire contact list
  • Tag filter — Contacts with specific tags (e.g., "VIP", "Abandoned Cart")
  • Segment — A saved segment from your CRM
  • CSV upload — Upload a list of numbers directly

  • Step 4: Choose a Template Select an approved message template from the dropdown. Preview how it will look on WhatsApp.

Step 5: Fill Template Variables If your template has variables (e.g., {{1}} = customer name), map them to contact fields:
  • {{1}} → Contact Name
  • {{2}} → Custom Field: Order ID

  • Step 6: Schedule or Send
  • Send Now — Campaign starts immediately
  • Schedule — Pick a date and time (your account timezone)

  • Step 7: Review and Confirm You'll see a summary: recipient count, estimated cost, template preview. Click Launch Campaign.

    After Sending

Track delivery in Campaigns → [Campaign Name] → Analytics:
  • Sent
  • Delivered
  • Read
  • Replied
  • Failed

  • Important Rules

  • You can only message contacts who have messaged you first, or who explicitly opted in
  • Sending to unengaged contacts increases block/report risk, which can get your number flagged
  • Meta may limit sending if your quality rating drops
